Fiscal Compact Referendum

As you know the government has chosen May 31st as the date for the referendum on the Fiscal Compact Referendum. YFG will be running a vibrant campaign in the coming seven weeks to sell a positive message on why Ireland should support this agreement. We will be providing you with continued updates on our referendum campaign over the coming weeks.

We ask that you go to http://www.checktheregister.ie to confirm that you are able to vote in May's election. The final deadline to join the supplementary register is May 14th. If you are on the register but need to vote from a different location, you must complete the relevant RFA3 form. If you are voting for the first time you must complete form RFA2.

On Saturday May 19th, YFG branches across the country will take part in canvasses in some key locations. Contact your regional organiser for full details.

The Munster Regional Council AGM will take place Friday 25th May at 8.30PM in Dooley's Hotel Waterford. 
We will be electing a committee on the night, and the following positions are up for grabs:
1)Chairperson
2)Secretary
3)Treasurer
4)PRO
5)Policy Officer.

Accommodation is available for the night in Dooley's Hotel. A monster canvass will take place the next day.

On Sunday May 27th, YFG will hold a  vital National Canvass Day in Dublin City . Full details to follow.

On 31 May 2012 a referendum will be held to decide if Ireland may ratify the Treaty on Stability, Cooperation and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union.

Make sure to use your vote between 7am and 10pm!
